Teaming up with the Pontiax, featuring new guitarist Sam Davidson (John Wilson's Taste) the Lee Hedley Band band will tour Northern Ireland with a show which features virtually all of Gary Moore's Rock AND Blues catalogue. The Pontiax will open each show with the blues side of Gary Moore's discography followed by the Lee Hedley Band who will give a rousing rendition of most of Gary Moore's Rock stuff, including double lead guitars from Lee's guitarist Marty Rowland AND Sam Davidson. The Lee Hedley Band will first of all be airing their Gary Moore night of music in Bucharest, Romania at the end of January. Click on the 2 Youtube links below to view videos from a recent gig. Whole Lotta Rosie Radar Love The new year will kick off with an East European twist as the band heads to Romania for a few gigs , including shows the at legendary Mojo Club,The Tribute Club and The Selas Golf & Polo Club.
The band are also booked for a New York based company to headline a private party for them in Cannes, France on 30th April 2012. New to the band is talented drummer Lyn McMullan (founder member of Redhouse blues band) and bassist Ian Cairns (also with Ska band Doghouse) will continue to stand-in for regular bassist Norman Sykes throughout the coming months whilst Norman recovers from Cancer.
Lee has just finished recording some blues harp on Harmonica guru Don Baker's new album. Various musicians are featured on this album including Sinead O'Connor, Liam O Maonlai (Hothouse Flowers), Mick Pyro from Republic of Loose and Dave Swift (Bassist with Jools Holland). To be released in 2012.
